Activities

Student Representative Council (SRC)

I am currently serving as the Vice President of the Student Representative Council (SRC). As an executive member, I am focused on building a strong school community through events and activities. For example, SRC hosted its first APIS Carnival as a celebration of the autumn season since the pandemic began in 2020. I was responsible for oversight and coordination of booths. With students, teachers, and parents attending the celebration post-pandemic, the end result was lots of friendly people engaging in quality conversations and collaborations, all becoming active members of the APIS community.

Debate (Asian Parliamentary)

With my interest in government and politics, I felt it was only natural that I found a home on the Debate Team. I joined the debate team in my freshman year by taking an elective course at my school. Through the class, I developed argumentative and logical speaking skills. Currently a senior and captain of the debate team, my aim is to foster growth of future APIS debaters while representing my school in tournaments. I see the team as my family on campus and am excited to spend my final year in high school ensconced in the community.

Korea Business Competition (KBC)

Although classroom learning provides a great foundation for my career aspirations, I joined the Korea Business Club (KBC) executive committee as the APIS representative to gain hands-on experience. Most recently, I have been involved in organizing the largest business competition in South Korea where 20 international high schools and over 350 participants compete (https://www.koreabusinesscompetition.org/). Participants will compete on the theme of the global recession, presenting an industry that was negatively affected by the economic recession and creating a business-to-consumer (B2C) model.
